An overseas student who wants to pursue education in Italy will have to obtain an Italian student visa. If a course is longer than 90 days, he or she will have to get a long-term visa or national visa (NV). On arriving, a student has to get a "permit to stay. " A student must acquire a student visa application form. You can download the form online.

  • Complete the student visa application form.
  • Make a list of all the documents needed for submission, along with your visa application form. Gather all the documents and submit them to the Italian Embassy or the consulate.
  • Students must provide a recent colored photograph for the student visa application.
  • Fix an appointment with the visa application center to submit your application form.
  • Submit your visa application form along with the required documents and application fees at the Italian Embassy. Note that you have to carry all the original copies of all the documents. After submission of the file, you will be notified with an acknowledgment receipt.
  • A student can track their student application form.
  • Collect your student visa.
