German universities on track for further increase in students this year

The number of international students at German universities has increased again in the current 2022/23 academic year, according to a flash survey of institutions by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). According to projections by the organization from the survey of 180 universities, between 360,000 and 370,000, international students are currently enrolled, which would represent growth of between two and four percent compared with the previous year when 349,438 students were enrolled and would be a new record peak.
