Types of USA student visa

Before applying for a US student visa, you will need to get a Form I-20 from that university or college in which you want to take admission. Keep in mind that for an F-1 or M-1 visa, you can only apply at institutes that come under the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).
Documents required for a US student visa

- Your passport with a validity date at least six months beyond the duration of your study program.
- Form I-20 from the (SEVP)-certified school
- the DS-160 form (Non-immigrant Visa Application)
- latest 2 x 2 photograph
- Application fee payment receipt

- Intent to leave the US upon completion of your study program
- A bank statement and financial undertaking by your parents/ sponsor
